Ain't Nothing But A Houndstooth

Happy Monday!

I'm trying to be a little more positive about Mondays these days.  I try and have something each Monday to look forward to whether it be a fitness class, tv show, or cooking my favorite food.  I'm thinking today it may be a nice walk or jog with my dog since this weather forecast is looking quite perfect all week.

One of my friends, Taylor-Rae of Style SoufflĂ©, and I have teamed up to share our ways of incorporating houndstooth into our wardrobe.  Go follow her on instagram and check out her gorgeous pictures and great style.  Taylor-Rae and I have so much in common and she's given me some great life-advice these past couple months.  Plus, her home office is seriously to die for.  Houndstooth is one of our favorite prints because with black and white, it can go with just about anything... it's a neutral for sure. You can dress it up or down and it will always have a very classic look.  In this look, I paired it with a chambray top and the most comfortable black booties (less than $40) to go for a more effortless fall transition look.  I am also loving jersey pencil skirts lately... they're super comfortable and versatile.  I'll link up some of my favorites down below.  Enjoy your last official week of summer!
