Lately, I've been finding myself wearing a little bit less color than usual and to be honest, it hasn't made me feel any less "colorful" at all! Have y'all taken a moment to soak in the gorgeous colors of fall? The leaves are at their peak and everywhere I look, I'm reminded of how beautiful the season is. I've also found a few black staples that I have had on repeat in my closet, especially these perfect black booties, the timeless tweed skirt, and the everyday turtleneck.

Fall Favorites
I always have a few fall favorites each year in my closet. My favorites are typically things I can wear with an assortment of outfits... such as a neutral colored vest, some versatile denim, a flowy long sleeved blouse, and a great quality handbag. You also can't do fall without a good pair of casual booties that you can wear with everything.
Outfit Details
J. Crew: Grey Herringbone Puffer Vest || LOFT: Light Pink Split Neck Tunic || Vera Bradley: Quilted Handbag c/o || Sole Society: Suede Booties || LOFT: Boyfriend Jeans || Kendra Scott: Elle Earrings || Kendra Scott: Elton Gold Bracelet || Swell Caroline: Lucky Bar Necklace c/o || IT Cosmetics: CC Lip Serum
I hope everyone had a great weekend! It was a rainy one in my area but the rain stopped just for the few hours I had a wine tasting party at a local vineyard. Yesterday was my birthday and I had the best birthday weekend! I'll share more details later on this week about the vineyard we visited. Birthdays always make me feel so thankful and make me realize again and again how awesome my friends and family are.
I also got to try out the Raleigh Beer Garden finally and it was pretty legit. I will definitely be back there.
Thanks for stopping by and hope you all have a good week!
Shelby

Livin' in Linen
Linen Skirt || Crossbody Bag || White Tie Blouse (similar; Mine is Vince Camuto) || Moon and Lola earrings || Sunglasses || Nail Color in 'At least I Pink So' || Shoes: TJ Maxx; similar
Do you remember glittery jelly sandals? Scrunchies? Inflatable chairs? There are a few things that come to mind when I think about fads or fashion that went out of style. If there are two things in my closet that will never go out of style, it is this J. Crew linen skirt and a white neck-tie blouse. THe skirt can be worn for a good part of the year and with pretty much any shirt ever made. My boyfriend calls all of my neutral clothing "bland" but I like to think of it as classic neutrals that you can spruce up with some colorful accessories which will always be in style!
I had one of the busiest but best weekends this past weekend. I'll share more details about it later this week but lets just say I am obsessed with the girls from French Connection and you should definitely follow them on instagram if you don't already. I hope everyone has a great start to the week!

Welcome!
Hi there!
Welcome to my brand new blog! I don't know how to blog or actually anything about blogging as of now, so this will be interesting. I want this to be a place where I can write about style, food, home decor, health, and really, whatever thoughts pop up into my brain that I want to share with y'all!
Earlier today, I went to a friend's bridal shower and I couldn't be more thrilled for all of my friends who are soon going to be beautiful brides! That also means parties, showers, weddings, etc., which I absolutely love! Here is a quick outfit I put together for a bridal shower this weekend.

Wait... Can we just all take a moment to reflect on these two bags in comparison?

Now, don't get me wrong. I love me some Tory Burch but Target is where its at when it comes to this perforated handbag.
