Summer Essentials Under $35

In honor of this beautiful long weekend we just had, I wanted to share some my favorite summer essentials which also all happen to be under $35 (minus the sunglasses).  I was lucky enough to be able to spend time at the beach with friends and at the lake with family over the holiday weekend. I feel like its officially summer (although it technically isn't) now that the boat has been taken out and my toes have been dipped in the ocean.  I've been stocking up on beach cover-ups lately and I am loving this floral and palm leaf one which is surprisingly only $10 and comes in a bunch of other color options.  If I could, I would live in sandals and a cover-up dress.  You can't be anything but happy when you're wearing such a laid back ensemble.  When it comes to summer sandals, Target seems to always kill it.  Here are some of my favorites ALL under $30:

Along with sandals and cover-ups, another summer essential is a fun tote bag to carry around to the pool, lake, beach, or wherever your summer adventures take you.  This white woven tote bag is one of my favorite ones along with this sequined one (both are at a great price).

So that's about it for me when it comes to summer wear.  I hope everyone had a great weekend with family and friends.  Luckily, its another short week and I'm headed to one of my favorite places in a few days!

Thanks for stopping by!

Casual Blue

Acid Wash Blue Tank c/o Triple Thread OC || Handbag: Kate Spade 'Hayden' || White Denim: Topshop 'Joni' || Wedges || Necklace c/o Triple Thread OC

Happy long weekend Friday, everyone! I'm pumped for this weekend because I'll also be celebrating one of my best friends bachelorette weekend! We're going to Wrightsville Beach and staying in a really cute oceanfront condo close to everything.  There will be 7 of us and it'll be a weekend filled with fun and sun.

Now, on to the outfit for today's post... I recently found a clothing company based out of CA that has some serious comfy and chic clothing for great prices.  If you're not already following Triple Thread Oc (@triplethreadoc) on instagram, you should! I tend to forget to buy comfy clothes and end up with a closet full of dresses.  Basic tees are where its at on the weekends and I love the selection at Triple Thread.  Also, the most comfortable wedges ever that I found at Marshall's are now available at Nordstrom Rack for less than $40!

Workin' in the Summer

Ponte Shift Dress (only $30) || Light Grey Handbag (under $40) || Shoes: Adrienne Vittadini || Necklace: Kendra Scott 'Perry' || Sunglasses || Earrings
So, I know that it is technically spring but these recent 90 degree temperatures have it feeling like summer already.  At work, I typically use my lunch and break times to go outside and walk (since I'm sitting at a desk all day) but lately I've been struggling to pick out an outfit to wear where I won't get too hot to do that.  Luckily, I stumbled upon this shift dress the other day which just so happened to be under $30.  It also comes in a pretty coral hue that I just may need to scoop up before these sell out.  These will for sure go fast! For a $30 Target dress, this one is a pretty quality find.  The ponte fabric it is made of keeps it from being too tight but also would be flattering on all body types.  It is my new favorite work dress and will definitely keep me cool this summer on my lunch time strolls.  This dress paired with my favorite Kate Spade sunglasses gives off some serious Audrey Hepburn vibes too.

Ruffles & Layered Pearls

Off Shoulder Frill Dress (only $68 and available in light red/coral) || White Wedges: Jessica Simpson || Gigi New York 'Carly' Clutch || Pearl Statement Necklacesimilarlove this too

Happy Monday, everyone! Today I am sharing this off the shoulder dress that I found online a while back that immediately drew my attention.  I've always been drawn to anything with ruffles and frills but this dress is a little more 'statement-y' than most ruffles I've seen.  The gorgeous sage color is SO unique and screams spring and summer.  I love how light weight the dress is and can be dressed up or down for any occasion.  I paired it with my white Jessica Simpson wedges and pearl statement necklace to complete this look and I'll definitely be wearing this several times this summer!

Black and White

Shoes: Adrienne Vittadini (SO comfortable) || White Denim Pants: Topshop || Black and White Patterned Tank || Gigi New York Carly Clutch in 'Desert Rose' || Sunglasses || Kendra Scott 'Perry' Necklace || Kendra Scott 'Kiri' Necklace

These white denim pants are the most comfortable pair of denim I've owned.  I've been looking for a higher-waisted pair of white denim that wasn't too expensive for a while and these were the best ones I could find that met all of my white pants criteria: sits high on the waist (these are REALLY high), stretchy but high quality, and have the perfect length.  The sizing runs smaller than usual though so order like 2-3 sizes up... no joke.  Anyways, you can never go wrong with black and white for any time of year.  I'm loving black, white, and a pop of color too with this Gigi New York Carly Clutch. Let me fill you in on a little secret.  Have you heard of Rent the Runway?  Of course you have because I talk about it all the time. :) Well, they have a new(ish) Unlimited option where you get to use unlimited bags, jewelry, and dresses for one monthly price.  I personally think its the best idea because I get tired of my bags after a while. After a few months, I end up wanting something new resulting in a closet full of lower quality bags that I never use again.  If you're interested, check it out on their website

I've been trying to stick to a workout regimen lately and it's been killing me.  I've been fairly consistent but each morning I feel like I can't move.  I've been using Kayla Itsine's program and am on week 8.  I'll review it in more detail on an upcoming post and let you all know my thoughts.

Thanks for stopping by!

Mint Sheath

Chambray Shirt (really love this one too) || Mint Sleeveless Sheath Dress (c/o French Connection) || Handbag || Wedges (under $50) || Necklace: sold out from Ann Taylor/ most similar || Sunglasses

Back in March, I tried on this Mint Sleeveless Sheath Dress at a local French Connection event and it became my favorite spring dress instantly.  The material is super stretchy but still well-made to wear all season long.  The color definitely caught my eye but it was the structure that I really loved.  Slimming, bright, and top quality... those are three words that can commonly describe FC clothing.

I hope it was a great weekend for everyone.  It was absolutely beautiful and could not feel any more perfect outside.  I had Mexican food both nights which made my weekend even more perfect.  By the way, does anyone have any REALLY good simple margarita recipes? I would love to know.

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to enter this Rebecca Minkoff Giveaway.
