This burgundy wool blend blazer is probably one of my top favorite things in my closet currently. These pictures don't even don't even compare to how classic and sophisticated it looks in person. It is the perfect blazer to dress down with some boyfriend jeans or dress up on a day at work with a pencil skirt.
I hope everyone had a great weekend! It was a rainy one in my area but the rain stopped just for the few hours I had a wine tasting party at a local vineyard. Yesterday was my birthday and I had the best birthday weekend! I'll share more details later on this week about the vineyard we visited. Birthdays always make me feel so thankful and make me realize again and again how awesome my friends and family are.
I also got to try out the Raleigh Beer Garden finally and it was pretty legit. I will definitely be back there.

Waking up early is not the easiest thing for some people, including myself. Waking up early to go to work is a whole different story. One thing that makes going to work early in the morning a little easier, for me at least, is having some quick go-to outfits to put on. I think it is safe to say that summer is pretty much over, sadly. Signs of fall are everywhere and yesterday's weather definitely felt like fall to me for the first time this year. Before I say adios to such a wonderful season, I wanted to reflect on how much I truly enjoyed this summer through some of my favorite photos and also what I learned over the past few months.
While reading some of my own favorite blogs the other day, I stumbled upon Mackenzie Horan's list of 101 things to do in 1001 days. It inspired me so much and I wanted to create my own to maybe help hold me accountable for all I want to accomplish and to motivate me to dream big. There are just so many goals from small to large that can be done over 1001 days and sometimes if you don't take note of them, the time just flies by. I'll continue to update this list as time goes on and hopefully by the end, I will have a lot crossed off!

Can y'all believe it is September already? This month is always my favorite. I tend to look at September as the start to a new "year" rather than January for some reason. Maybe its because school starts then or maybe its because my birthday is this month, starting an actual new year for me. September is also a huge month for fashion which I l o v e. This time of year gets me really excited to start scrolling around my favorite retailers sites, flip through style magazines, and see what new fall trends are at my top stores. It's easy to want to buy the trendiest fall pieces but this year I'm really trying to stick to the basics.
