Summer Date Night Ideas

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Santa Margherita Wines for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.

Every now and then, I like to go on a fun date with TJ and summer is the perfect time! It's a great time to be outside in the evening (don't forget bug spray!) and there are so many fun activities to do this time of year. For a perfect date night, simple is always a good idea. Today, I'm sharing some simple summer date night ideas with Santa Margherita Prosecco, the perfect quality wine for any occasion.

The other night we went out on the canoe and brought a bottle of wine with us (thanks Santa Margherita!). I picked up the Prosecco at the closest Total Wine and we sat out on the pond talking about life and taking in the lush green scenery surrounding us. I love Prosecco in the summer time - it's just so refreshing and light, and I couldn't have chosen a tastier Italian wine brand. Being out on the water got me thinking about a few other date ideas I'd love to try before the weather gets cool again.

Idea #1: Water + Wine || Depending on the regulations of where you're going, rent (or maybe you own) a kayak, canoe, paddle boat or paddle board and sip on some wine while you sit out on the still water. This has to be one of my favorite activities of all time.

Idea #2: Roof-top it! || Look up a new roof-top restaurant downtown that you both have yet to try. With the stars out in the summer, it'll make the most romantic evening.

Idea #3: Have a picnic || Find a park nearby and plan a simple picnic one night. You can even make it a total surprise and bring your significant other's favorite foods. Don't forget some music, dessert, and a bottle of Santa Margherita!

Idea #4: Go on a walk (to a restaurant nearby) || We live within walking distance to so many good restaurants and we've never actually walked anywhere other than Starbucks. Make a date night out of your nightly workout by taking a walk to grab a bite to eat!

Idea #5: Take a dance lesson || This has been on my to-do list for quite some time. Google your local dance studios and see who offers adult dance lessons. This would be such a fun double date idea, too! To me, there's nothing more romantic than dancing with your significant other.

Idea #6: Visit a new farmer's market || Make it a morning date and drive to a farmer's market you haven't been to before. You can pick up some fresh ingredients for a dinner recipe later that day or you can see what other cool local vendors are there!

Hope you like some of these ideas! Check out Santa Margherita's Facebook page each Wednesday until August 10th for chances to win prizes including $5,000 toward your dream at-home entertaining space (part of the Santa Margherita She Shed giveaway). Also, if you have any of your own date night suggestions, leave them in the comments! Happy summer!
