As some of you know, I graduated from NC State University in Raleigh, NC a few years ago. OK, fine, 4 years ago. Almost. How is that possible? I've been out of college almost as long as I was in college! Time needs to slow down just a little bit. It's a little weird looking back at what my plans were 8 years ago and now seeing how much they've changed. Anyways, that is a whole other topic of discussion. Today's post is very special to me because I'll be sharing two women who also graduated from NC State but have started their own inspiring businesses.

First up, meet the clothing line, Borough, and the designer, Ashley. Ashley graduated from the NC State College of Textiles (Go Pack!) and had a love for Charleston and southern style which ultimately inspired her to create Borough. Borough offers colorful and unique printed dresses in a variety of styles.  Each dress is also named after a Charleston borough that reflects it's personality and Lord knows I love Charleston. Another cool fact? The company is headquartered in Charleston but all production is in North Carolina so we're talking about organic cotton knitted, printed, cut, and sewn completely in the Carolinas, which can't get any better.

I loved the colors and design of the Borough Blooms print and decided to go with the Tunic style. I paired it with my favorite wedges (which you're probably sick of me talking about) and an adorable and meaningful headband, which leads me to my other fellow part of the NC State Wolfpack.

I remember taking another class after I graduated having nothing to do with what I had previously studied, really just for fun, and Jess Ekstrom was the guest speaker one day. Jess will always be one of the most inspiring people to me. She started Headbands of Hope, a company that not only offers chic and fashionable headbands, but also donates a headband to a child with cancer for every headband purchased. Headbands of Hope has been around since April of 2012 and has donated headbands to every children's hospital in the United States. That. is. amazing. She first thought of the idea after interning at a wish-granting organization and finding that girls loved to wear headbands after losing their hair to chemotherapy. If you haven't checked out Headbands of Hope before, I'd click right here to check out how inspirational and heart-warming the company is.

I'm so proud to call these two ladies fellow Wolfpack alum and encourage you all to check out both of their businesses!

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a happy Wednesday!
